One step
Argo Olives only had to select the best applicants
01, Background
Argo Olives imports Greek olive oil to Finland. The company was founded by a father and son seven months earlier, and the oil comes from the grandparents' community in Greece.
Growth was fast from the beginning, which was why Argo Olives contacted Vaiku. The days went into orders, deliveries, and customers. Marketing got whatever time was left — which was almost none.
"We started this family business with my father seven months ago, and we've grown incredibly fast. That pace of growth is one of the reasons we became a Vaiku customer."
02, Challenge
The bottleneck was time. When one person is responsible for marketing, sales, and the product, manual influencer marketing competes directly with everything else. Finding, contacting, and contracting 50 creators would take weeks of work.
"I have very limited time to manage campaigns like these."
03, Solution
The direction was reversed. Instead of the brand looking for creators, the campaign was published on Vaiku and influencers applied themselves.
More than 50 creators applied to the first campaign.
"I was really surprised by how many people applied. It was amazing to think how much time it would have taken us to contact 50 different people."
04, Results
The work shrank to one step. Search, outreach, negotiation, contracts, and payments moved away from the brand. All that remained was choosing.
Choosing was difficult in the best possible way. The quality of the applicants filled the available spots faster than expected.
"It was quite hard to choose because there were so many high-quality applicants. The places filled up quickly, and I sent a message asking whether we could get more."
The visibility came organically. Argo Olives compared the result with a CPM of €5–15 that is generally considered good in paid media.
"A CPM of €5, €10, or €15 is generally considered a very good result. And you have to pay a high price for that through a typical agency. With Vaiku, I can say it has been 1–2 cents."
05, Key takeaway
In a growth phase, the scarcest resource is time. A campaign that takes two working weeks from a marketing director's calendar will not happen, no matter how good it could be.
When creators apply themselves, the brand isn't buying outreach — it is buying choice. The people who apply are the ones who genuinely want to work with that brand.
"I would recommend this to entrepreneurs in a growth phase and to anyone who wants to save time. Whether you're a solo entrepreneur, a small-business owner, or lead a marketing team, time is a very expensive resource. At the same time, you can trust that the influencer collaboration works — including in the results."
