This policy describes how Vaiku processes personal data of users of the Vaiku service.

Account credentials
Profile information you choose to provide (e.g. bio, location, profile picture, interests, links to your social media accounts)
Communications and content you create or upload through the service
Billing information necessary to provide the service
Technical data automatically collected (e.g. device identifiers, IP address, log data)

4. Purposes and Legal Bases

To provide the service and perform the contract with you
To process payments and meet legal accounting obligations

5. Recipients and Sub-processors

We use third-party service providers to operate the service, in categories such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, appropriate safeguards are in place under GDPR Article 46.

Personal data is retained for the duration of your account and for a limited period after closure for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Billing records are retained for the period required by Finnish accounting law (7 years).

The service uses essential cookies required for sign-in and language preference. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Third-party Platform Integrations

If you connect an external platform (such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, or Snapchat) to your Vaiku profile, that platform's own terms and privacy policy also apply. You may disconnect any platform at any time from your account settings.

Vaiku uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
